At long last, here now up-to-date releases of my book samples for NETMF 4.3.1 (aka NETMF 4.3 QFE1), both for Mountaineer and Netduino boards.
After we released our first public Mountaineer 4.3 beta release, here are now the samples of my book adapted to NETMF 4.3 on the one hand, and to the Mountaineer Ethernet Mainboard hard-ware on the other hand (a Netduino Plus 2 version is due within the next couple of weeks).
As Pachube has been renamed to Cosm and then to Xively, the question has come up what changes are needed for the examples. Fortunately very few! Thanks to Tony Scarpelli for putting a new version together and testing it! Here is the HelloXively sample, together with the library (now called Gsiot.XivelyClient) in a single Visual Studio project:
In time for Christmas there is now release candidate 2 of the GSIoT samples for NETMF 4.2 (QFE2). This time both for Mountaineer Ethernet mainboards and for the Netduino Plus 2.
Please read the Read Me text in the zipped archive (below) for more information.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
The official stable firmware release for the Netduino Plus is still v18.104.22.168. My examples assume release v4.1.1, for which there is still only a beta 1 release available. The only visible difference is that v4.1.1 supports the correct polarity of the onboard switch, i.e., pressed buttons return true instead of false. If and when a final v4.1.1 ships, I'll retest my examples.
As Pachube was recently acquired and relaunched under the name Cosm, many readers wondered whether my Pachube samples still work with Cosm.
